What lighting to use

Building my 48'x30' hobby car restoration shop. Trying to decide what lighting to use. It is four bays and thinking about using 3 4' 4 light fluorescent lights on each side of the bay. Is there something better? Where to buy? A place to buy used ones?

Why buy used? Used ones will likely be the old transformer ballast T12 units. You don't want them even if they are free.
New ones can be bought for $20 each or less if you shop sales, and they use the T8 lamps, **** less power, weigh less to hang, and are new.

How high is the ceiling? If it's less than 15' I'd use 4 foot long T8 fluorescent fixtures. You're new here, so the first thing to do is use the search function - there are plenty of discussions on this topic.
