Yesterday, after 3 years, I finally got my 220 line (and 5 110's) installed in my garage, woohoo! anywho, now im getting everything ready for my air compressor. The compressors is located in a tool shed on the opposite wall of my 3rd car garage. My question is, Should i run a 1/2 or 3/4 inch (probably copper) line from the compressor into the garage (approx 5 feet with only 1 90* bend) or should I just use an extra 6 foot 1/2 air hose i have and run that into the garage? Granted im sure 1 will just look "cleaner" but figured id ask just incase.

and if anyone is wondering how its all set up, I have an on/off *air* valve at the take and a quick disconnect, then either this copper line or air hose line. then once it comes throught the garage wall, ill do an on/off followed by the w/o separater, air filter and regulator which then goes to a 50' hose reel.

IF there is any chance of rodents getting to it, I would use copper or put a gnaw proof covering over the composite air line. For some reason critters like the taste of air lines.

Im in AZ so the only thing ive around here are snakes, scorpions and black widows. Thankfully where im at, ive lucked out and dont have any snakes and scorpions and i find maybe 2 or 3 black widows a year (but holy **** is my attic full of daddy long legs) . I do get the occasional cricket, but the black widows seem to find them before i do. Plus the line will be appox 4 feet off the ground so none dogs can trip over it. (or chew on it)
