when working on cars, what do you reach for when you want more than a typical multimeter? like in between a labscope and digital multimeter? when you want to see what the voltage did, but not in labscope detail. i really like the snap on meters that have the graphing multimeter, like the vantage original and vantage pro. But it seems like nobody else today makes a multimeter than can graph like the snap on? i want a meter that graphs the voltage and gives you a digital reading. like if you want to graph the battery voltage when you start the car, be able to see what the voltage did over time, not just having a minimum and maximum value. or see what an amp draw did over time. or checking parasitic draw over several hours? oscilloscopes are plentiful and lots of choices and great when you need waveform of the voltage, but seems voltage graphing meters have died? do such meters exist today? or is snap on the only one? what do you reach for when you want more than a multimeter but less than a scope? what meters do techs use when troubleshooting? thought??
