Ok so I built my shop a year ago, put 2 coats of primer on and then 2 coats of semi gloss speed wall by glidden... The paint *****! Can't wipe anything off of it, it's not white anymore, it's more of a light brown from dust, etc

I went and bought some sherwin Williams emerald white semi gloss paint and did one wall with it last night, just looking at it, I'm not impressed.

So what paint have you all used that you were happy with, easy to clean? Do I need to step up to high gloss?

I used the cheapest outdoor semi-gloss I could find at HD, $17 a gallon, almost a year ago. So far so good. I did use a good quality primer, 2 coats, then pain, 2 coats.

Thats what my buddy did, I went ahead and am putting on the sherwin williams, its the best we have here, after 2 coats it looks good. Have to see how it lasts. If it doesnt hold up then I'll get exterior paint and go that route

I have heard many good things about Benjamin Moore paints, though I have never used any myself. I have used Sherwin Williams brand and it seems to do well. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the most important factor is using a good quality primer.

Gloss kitchen and bathroom is your best choice. It will stand up to humidity and will be the most washable.

I was told by the paint rep that exterior paint isn't any tougher. It's simply UV stabilized.

I mixed up a 5gallon bucket of every left over can my wife gave me ,its in between flat and semi gloss. Kind of a off white earth tone. It's better than flat but not much, wife just shakes her head at me.

I used the Valspar made Walmart brand. Gloss white and a very light grey/blue outdoor. Went over 2 coats of Kilz oil primer. Looks good, tough and wipes up no problem.

9 bucks a gallon. I just can't see myself spending 30 a gallon for the shop wall.
