I got this as a box lot at an auction and someone told me it's a crank pulley holder. Never seen one like this before does anyone know if this one is for a specific application or is it something completely different?

I have one in my box that's had the living hell used out of it. :D
They will hook the rim of any flywheel with an offset rim and also work on front wheel drives where the spanner type tools won't fit. Very handy piece for a pro tech.
