Got this at a flea market for $30. The handle is a mac part number vr15f but i cannot figure out what the head is. It is a good ratchet i am just curious. Its a 1/2" drive. The seller told me its the same head they put on their torque wrenches but i cannot verify that i looked on mac's website and could not find it.

It looks like a Craftsman fine tooth head to me. I have a 3/8" and a 1/2" drive ratchets, but not flex head and they look identical to what you have. Sort of a Frankensteined ratchet!

That is the same head that is on the Craftsman RHFT. That same mechanism was also used in some Easco and Allen ratchets (and maybe others).

It could be that your ratchet was for a government contract. They frequently have few markings other than "USA"

EDIT- I think I may have figured it out.

If I'm reading the pic correctly, the handle is marked "VR15F"

I googled that and it turns out it is a flex head MAC ratchet.

Here's a pic I stole from ebay. It appears someone took the handle from a Mac ratchet, and put that head on it. Strange

Yep, cross breeding with a mac handle and a Danaher made(Craftsman, KD, Allen, Easco, or other) head. Perhaps the previous owner didn't like the 30 tooth Mac action.:bounce:
Although I have seen Mac torque wrenches with that head.
