Ha hahaha.

You guys are funny.

blah blah blah... more BS... blah blah blah

There you go, that might be me, keep your fancy mansions, I work for real people.

wow you are funny. and I would never hire you, but then again here in a few months you wouldn't work for me because I'll live in a nice house that I busted my *** for. Your stereotypes are ********. Real people? What an ***.

I'm in Florida, and had a new back porch built 2 years ago. I called 6 contractors, only 2 responded. Then only 1 gave a quote. Damn I thought, they must not want any work. Turns out they lost most of the help when the housing market bottomed out. Getting good, legal workers is hard for the contractors.

I wasn't happy with the 1 quote, so I went down to county building office and asked what contractor has received the least amount of complaints and has the most permits in the past 365 days. They gave me two names. I never heard of either, but I called. Holy **** batman, both companies were out the next day and submitted bids. After choosing one of them, the work was done in 7 days. They came out every day and were usually waiting for the inspector to sign off so they could continue.

Think outside the box.

Nicely done.

Frank is very tired of the bag on the contractor threads.

The bag on the contractor threads serve no purpose other than to piss off and drive away the contractors.

If you drive away the contractors you are left with a forum that consists of the opinions of a group of amateurs. Good luck with that.

If this forum exists for the purpose of discussion of topics such as what type of peanut butter has the best chunks or which hair gel smells the best, so be it.

If this forum exists for the purpose of a Do It Yourself person looking for answers from an experienced professional, I will answer any plumbing related question you have with courtesy and integrity as I have in the past.

Those who enjoy bagging on contractors, now that I have brought you to the surface, I can't see what your opinion is any longer.

Makes it sorta hard for this contractor to answer your questions. Ya think.
And if all the other contractors follow suit, soon, this will be all about hair gel for you.

Frank, as you know from my past comments, I definitely respect the opinions of the pros on this board.

I did not take this as an "all contractors are bad" thread at the start... I took it as a "boy, I'm really looking for a contractor, why the heck is it so hard to even get a call back when I read in the news that contractors are so hungry for work?" thread.

Anyways, obviously we all want posts by qualified posters on here, but I think we all also want a cool vibe.

Cheers
