So I have a total of $75 in gift cards to Sears. I'm willing to pay up to a total of $150 for something cool. What tool should I buy? Front runners for me are a Knipex ratcheting pliers or a SK breaker bar (24 inch). Any suggestions welcome. Post links too.

Knipex Plier-wrench and Knipex 6" diagonal cutters.

That should get you to around $65. Then $10 on whatever is in the Clearance aisle (I found a C'man raised panel 1" combo wrench for $5 ea. plus many other sizes last week in the mark-down aisle.)

If only C'man, I'd go for the C'man Pro/Industrial USA ratchets while they are still around. The slimlines were nice when USA made but I can't bring myself to buy another set now from Taiwan. Too many other offerings in the same price range to look back.

Also look for NOS impact socket sets on sale and on the back of the hang peg. They still are out there.

Good luck.

Take your gift cards to sears outlet and get more for your money.

Or if your going to your local sears some of my favorites are:
Thread restorer kit like was mentioned above.
1/2 Long flex head ratchet.
Hose pinch off pliers.
Pry bar sets.
