What should I offer on this KR1000

In discussions with the owner, I'd have to drive about 1.5 hours one way to get it. He's had it since 2010 and says it works fine, he's lubed the slides and the locks work. Supposedly selling because he's bringing his box from work home.

What you see is included (matco side cab and single drawer full of tools, including a nearly new/like new set of cornwall plus torx sockets). I would try to sell all that stuff right away.

FWIW I offered $700 (before seeing detailed photos) and he said he could do $800. Should I do that, should I walk? What really concerns me is the bottom right drawer is creased. The 2nd to the top drawer on the left seems to have a ding as well. The top face dings don't bother me as much as one day hopefully I could track down a top chest or build a butcher block top. I don't really have the time to restore it now but like most of my "junk"; buy vintage bulletproof still functional and restore later.

Thanks for the help

Greg

If I was a seller I sure wouldn't go below $800. ***** that the drive is so far.

Ok. Good to know. The drive isn't a huge deal breaker for me, granted every deal is better if it's in your backyard.

The K2500 with the 454 sure doesn't make runs like this any cheaper :bounce:

Deal struck at $700. Heading to get it hopefully tonight.

Will post pictures. That bottom drawer bums me out but nothing that I can't repair when I get around to it.

Yeh 700bucks about tops if nothing much else wrong with it. ideally wouldn't want pay more than 500 as fair bit of work get that tidy again.
without creases/dents would of paid more .
Is nice box layout and hope you like it and get round to a restore ...

I'm hoping I can unload the side cab and tools for around $50-100 so that puts the roller purchase at $600-650.

Yeh if can get 100 for tools and side cab will help, shame not couple more decent bits in the drawer .
If all drawers ran good and aligned good and trim decent enough it will restore quite well, crease should be easy enough sort and rest seems usual cosmetic from images.
Never like pay too much for boxes with well used patina as it lot of time and fair bit of quality paint do decent finish on them .
Would be nice box restored .
