I have a 12 wide x 10 high uninsulated garage door in my shop. Im highly interested in the side/wall mount garage door opener set up. Is Liftmaster the only manufacturer if these? What are some of you guys using? Costs?? Was it hard to install? TIA:eek:

I have a liftmaster jackshaft opener on my 12.5' x16' oh door
Love it.
Quiet and allowed me to have as big of an oh door as possible.
Gonna use again soon on an oh door on our attached garage.
I have nothing but good things to say about it.

I've been looking at the LiftMaster (3800?) opener for a project I'm starting in a few weeks.

Two weeks ago I saw my first one in action in a six bay truck garage. Doors were probably 13' or 14' high and wide enough to easily drive a semi tractor or Greyhound bus into.

I watched and listened to two of them go up and down a few times. Almost silent.

I'm sold!

Liftmaster 8500, awesome and easy to install. I have 3 in my garage, they are great and are extremely quite. Allowed me to use hi rise garage doors. maximize my 12 ceilings. One controls a 10x10 wayne dalton insulated. no problems at all. I had no issues installing this.

I am going to be replacing my chain drive one on my house garage and installing one more on a door I never put opener on.
It is a 9' I'm height and by using the jackshaft type I won't have to spend more on extensions for a normal opener
