I have 4 6ton stands and 2 smaller ones(dont remember the rating)
I almost always use the 6 tons, especially for the superduty.
On my 280z (unibody) i put the stands under the swaybar frame mounts. They cradle right in and the metal edges of the mounts happen to be a hair wider than the top of my stands. I always figured the twisting force gets applied there so why not. I was also told to put them under places like control arm or crossmember mounts since they are structural points.
