I'm kicking an idea around.
The $29.95 Harbor Freight solar motion lights I rewired to work off a 15 minute wall timer have pretty much reached the end of their life. I'm guessing the battery is about shot. I'll take it down/apart and check to see if it's still getting power from the solar panel and see about getting a replacement battery.
I have a 300W Vanner Pure Sine Wave I'll have back working in the next day or so. I'm thinking about taking the HF light down and checking it out. In the interim Linda needs a light out at the horse's run-in shed.
I can take the existing timer and wire it to the remote control circuit for the VLT12-300W Inverter to turn it on and off. Then I can take a 120v 0.5A rated 55W HF Led shoplight I have and plug it in the inverter. All this can be mounted out of the weather. She might on average use the light 15-30 minutes per night. The inverter has a non-adjustable low voltage shut down set at 11.3v restart at 13.5v, high voltage shutdown is 16.3v, restart at 15.8v BTW.
The big question, how much battery, (recommendation needed),do I need to power the inverter for say, 30 days at the time, at 30 minutes usage per day? I plan to use a Lead-acid battery. This will be temporary.
