What size do you think this compressor is?

The guy hasn't gotten back to me yet on the size, so I'm wondering what you guys think. It looks like the pump says Curtis.... Thoughts on the tank size, hp, and CFM?

Yeah.... the guy has it in his barn, and can't get to it right now... He's a couple hundred miles from me....

Just wondering whether anyone had any guesses....

I have to say a 30 gallon. In not sure that thing is worth a couple hundred mile drive. That is unless there is something else that is that direction. Maybe everything is a couple hundred miles away.... Just an opinion

Are you asking about tank size or compressor size?

I'm gonna get on the 1 HP, 8ish CFM train. . .in other words. . .not worth the drive.

Tank is almost exactly the same as my 30 gallon tank. Compressor is a Curtis two stage two cylinder pump. Just guessing I'd say about 7-10 CFM probably.

Here are the basic specs:

1.5hp motor
C90 Pump
Tank is 4' long x 20" diameter - Made in 1974

Curtis said it should be good for 4-8CFM at 175PSI.


A little too small for me, I was looking for a 3-5hp

Looks like a big tank (~30gal) with puny pump and motor.

Pump is probably do 125psi at best with about 4SCFM @ 90psi at best.
The motor is probably a 1.5HP
