Size is up to you!! But see what kinda of deal you can get per sq.ft base that off of size.
Don't go bigger than 18X18 unless the slab is perfectly flat!!

The bigger the better is my style. My preference would be for the 24" tiles, but realistically I think that you will find 12" to be the cheapest and 18" to be the most readily available.

I like the 12" x 24" I just put down as well. Creates a really nice visual distance.

Grout is the weak point in your porcelain tile floor. I went with 18x18 to minimize the grout lines. Going larger makes a for a more difficult installation and increases the risk of cracked tiles if they are not laid properly. I found that larger tiles were also harder to find at a reasonable cost.

Large tiles require FULL contact with the mastic. I would bet that most pros "back butter" anything over 12x12.

Maybe I am getting off the subject but I was just about to tile my garage for about $ 4500 with stud type tiles until I saw these http://www.garageflooringllc.com/tuff-seal/
It totally changed my mind and the cost is $ 3400 (18X18 PVC tile) and not as slippery and easy to install. I do not want water to get under the tiles

Looks good, as long as you have no plans to weld or generate hot sparks. That's the real beauty of porcelain tiles.

Also not sure how the little bumps would affect creepers or other rolling items with small wheels?
