hey guy's im looking for some advice on what impact swivel sockets to get next......... i already have 3/8ths shallow and 1/4" shallow on the way, some crappy hf shallow's in 1/2" drive that i never seem to use (dont feel like i need to upgrade here since i've used them only a few times and there is usually plenty of clearance when working with that size)

so my question is what is next? deep swivels or semi deep??? originally i was thinking just the deep of course but now a day's i manly only use my semi deep sockets! any way's some input would be great let me know what you guy's would do or what you did and why

I got all 3, because more is better. I use the midlengths the most though, followed by the deeps. I just don't really like using the shallows unless I have to for clearance.

I started out with shallows, since my boss had midlength/deep (not sure which) already. I like them the best since they have the advantage of being a good bit shorter than sticking a shallow socket on a swivel, and let you get into a good many places you couldn't get into that way. I picked up a set of regular midlength sockets to keep on my tool cart for the times I've just got a few nuts/studs that need something deeper than the super-shallow swivels and don't want to run to the toolbox for a socket. To be honest, I can't really think of an instance where I needed a dedicated deeper swivel socket... I just stick one of my 3 depths of socket on a swivel.

If you made me pick one, I'd say midlength... I figure deep ones, like 1/2" drive, you generally have enough clearance to slap a socket on a swivel instead.
