Interesting to see others responses. I thought I kept my house cool in the summer. We had a new Carrier Infinity system installed in the summer '13 and now just keep it at 75* in the summer - no more set back, just let the smart system learn the house and keep it at the set temperature. We keep it around 72 in the winter, but set back to 70* during bedtime and back to 72* before we arise in the morning (may rethink the setback for the upcoming winter season). What's ironic is my wife was always cold when we had the old system, so she would up the temperature beyond 75* or higher in the winter, but with the 97% efficient Infinity heating system, it burns us out of the house pretty much at about 70-72*. The Infinity heats up the house in now time. She now gets too hot with the new system. So, I know it's doing it's job. A happy wifey and happy me.
