I'm finishing up a full resto on this Burr King 760, and I'd like to give it a hammerite/hammered/wrinkled green paint job. The machine is all aluminum.

I want to get a nice, really durable finish. I had good luck with industrial enamel before, but I've never tried a wrinkle/textured finish. What paint/process would you recommend?

I'd really prefer to brush on as I'm not set up to HVLP while moving shops, but I could probably get a buddy to HVLP it for me if I have to.

Here's the machine post-cleaning (but pre-stripping/new parts):

Hammered and wrinkle paints are two different things. I think that would look awesome in a green hammered finish!

Metal prep is key, of course, so it should be bead-blasted bare if at all possible. Motor case would probably have to be sanded. Then I'd just use spray cans of hammered type paint from Lowes or Home Depot, the major spray paint mfgs. offer it. I did an old heater for my Jeep in silver hammer finish, and it looks cool as hell.
