Sorry if this comes off as a rant, but I needed to relay this story.

Anyway, I was in the garage today working on a project when I hit a snag.

I needed a 1-5/16 socket. My 1/2 drives go up to 1-1/4.
Great I think here is a perfect opportunity to pull out my dad's old 3/4 drive set that I have had tucked away for years and never have a use for.
I pull them out and wouldn't you just know it, the socket I need is missing.

Ok I guess we're going tool shopping.
Realistically I now I may never need this socket again after this job is done, so I don't want to spend a lot. I head over to Princess Auto for a cheap socket. Low and behold they have it in 3/4 inch drive, and the price was only a about five bucks. Score.

Now somehow, I had the presence of mind to look for a 1/2 - 3/4 adapter so that I could use the socket with my impact gun if necessary.

This where it gets wierd. They carry a 1/2 - 3/4 adapter but they are out af stock until November.
They do have a 3-piece set 1/4-3/8, 3/8-1/2, and 1/2-3/4.
Here is the kicker the price of the set is exactly the same as for the single piece.

So I now have 4 new tools that I didn't even know I needed two hours ago, All for under $20.

Worst part is, had they had the single in stock, you would have probably bought that not even knowing the set cost the same.

Good catch
