What thread is this? (Brass fittings)

I'm converting my Honda generator over to propane. The regulator on the new carb is a barbed fitting. I have a pretty fancy SS hose assembly that has a flair fitting on the end. So I pulled the barbed fitting out of the regulator and discovered it's not a pipe thread. What else is there? This is an area I know little about. I need that to go to the flair fitting for a connection I trust much more.

hard to tell from a pic, but it could be metric something, BSP , or something else.
do you need to use the ss hose? is it rated for propane fuel? there's virtually no pressure on that line, but you need the right hose for propane or nat gas.

Maybe take the barbed fitting to a hydraulic hose shop. They should have a method to determine what type of fitting the threads are. They might not be able to supply the fitting you need, but they might be able to identify what the threads are for the regulator.
