Keep your balls in them:

I just wheel mine around in one of these.

For anyone wanting burn barrels, just go to your local chemical supply company. They may say no at first, too many people wanting to collect rain water for their gardens, just give the girl at the desk a smile and explain what you intend on using them for. I've never had a problem, or had to pay for metal drums. Of course, I roll my balls around in a wheelbarrow. That helps too. :)

Or make it into a parts washer.

Ps, it's still a work in progress. Old used acquarium pumps don't seem to like kerosene too much. Worked great for about the first 30 minutes. :lol_hitti

Shop vac/dust collector:

Well, I have a couple of ideas.

First one is to get yourself about a 30x30x3/8" piece of plate steel. You can lift it, but only just barely. Set your drum open end up and put the piece of plate on it. Now you have a decent welding table. I used one of those outside for many years. In between welding jobs I'd take the piece of plate and lean it against a wall so the rain wouldn't puddle on it, and I'd turn the bucket upside down so it didn't fill with rain. Worked great.

Thanks guys, I like these ideas the best. Now I just need to search CL for some vacuum hose!

Not sure if this picture will come through (first attempt to upload a photo) I saw this on DIY Gear.

Make a work bench with lower cabinets!
