So over the course of a year of researching every flooring dealer to decide on wood floors in my home, I am left with box upon box of 3/4" wood flooring samples. They sent me everything all for free but I have a ton. Wife wants me to rid the basement of this odd collection. Which leads me to this... what project pops into your head to use these for???

I failed to mention I did the same thing when researching slate for our entryway... still have boxes of them...lol Internet freebies are intoxicating. I have issues.

Free-form wall art for the shop which provides the support for tempered glass shelves used to display whatever turns your crank. Kinda like a guy's garage gallery of chotchkies! LOL

I like the work bench top or bar idea!

The assorted slate could make a nice sitting area in the garden?

Actually this could look cool. Put one plank as a backdrop, flat agains the wall like the wall was the floor. Then put one under it like a shelf. Put a nice model car up there. Put them in random and assorted places, each with a backdrop and shelf. Could be cool.
