What to do with left over logs (besides firewood)?

Wondering what other creative ideas might be out there for making use of left over logs. Here is one of mine, a simple bench.

How big are they?
Can you carve a chair out of one. How about a podium?
What about a log doghouse?
Coffee table or a lamp?
Do,you have a wood lathe? How about some turnings?
