This fan was for attic ventilation in the roof of my attic. I've just had the interior of the garage reframed to lift the ceiling all the way to the top. So there's no more attic, no more trusses or ties there now. Just a 7 1/4" LVL down the center beam of the roof line and the rafters. Insulation is going between the rafters and drywall over that.
I could just take the fan out and patch the hole. Any ideas on how I could keep it for some ventilation in the summer while also sealing it up for winter?
I was thinking of cutting out a circle of foam and using that to plug it.
