What to do with this

I have this corner in the garage that is pretty much wasted space. I have an area closed off so that I can keep the dogs out of the main area when I want to, but by doing so the space is useless. Another problem is the ladder to the attic is there too. Looking for some ideas, thanks

Pics please. How big is said area? What's the layout of the garage? What equipment do you already have in there?

First thing to mind is floor space for mobile tools, anything on wheels.

Can the dog area be made a little smaller, say 4' x 8'? If so, then get or build a heavy duty oversized table there. Would be great for a work station. The dogs can hang out underneath, and you'll have a huge space to do work. Build it strong enough, and cut the attic stairs shorter, and you can just climb on top of that to climb up the attic ladder.

Remove the dog door and only let them in through the main door when you want them in the area. That's what I do...

Looks like where you're going to be putting in your 60 gal or larger vertical air compressor, along with the moisture trap piping up and down the wall there.

Seems you have some available space along the wall, parallel to the pull down ladder. You could rip some plywood and build some 12 or 16 inch shelves. Build from the top down, so the floor space is still open, but it seems you could put at least three 16 inch x 8 ft long shelves. You can make the shleves go around the corner to the wall where your vacuum is also. Just keep the floor space open so the dogs do not have anyting interfering with the area to lay down.

What about putting an open bench on that knee wall and also using that open wall space for some storage.

What if you framed the internal walls and added a "roof" so that you can store stuff on top of it. Add a window or some plex in the wall so it isn't that dark in there for the dog
