One of my good friend's dad came over today and did some work on my house and gave me a good deal and said "Merry Christmas." This guy is Mr. DeWalt. Just today he had the DeWalt cordless drill, sawzall, grinder, little vacuum, two different nail guns, compressor, drill bits, driver bits, etc...

I would like to find him something DeWalt he doesn't have, but after looking on the website, I don't see anything under $100 that he doesn't already have. I could always buy him a battery, but he said he has 14.

He mainly does carpentry type work. If I can't find something DeWalt, what's some other cool tool I could get him?

I love my Dewalt random orbital sander.

There under $100, but if he does carpentry work, it very likely he already has one.
Maybe a standard orbital sander if he doesn't have one?

Consumables, it's always nice to have a spare brand new set of drill bits, quick change drill driver set, quick change utility knife, or fat max tape measure.

Crazy as it sounds, he used all those today as well. This guy has everything!

But like you said, it's always nice to have a new set of drill bits.

Consumables would be a great idea as premierplayer suggested. Utility knife blades ,#2 phillips,#2 square , magnetic nut drivers , Torx bits , drill bits , and many other of the 'little things' don't last forever. They always get depleted at the worse possible time and not having them is a real pain. All of those items come in quantity packs , just hit the isle of any home center.

I have many Dewalt cordless tools, and I was trying to think what I'd want if it were me. So how about a vehicle charger? I have tons of individual and even dual AC chargers, but I don't own a vehicle (12 VDC) one.
DEWALT DC9319 7.2-to-18-Volt 1 Hour Vehicle Charger

Or get him a set of three of the new Dewalt Impact-Ready Line:

1. DEWALT DW2169 38-Piece Impact Driver Ready Accessory Set
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000R94EG0/?tag=atomicindus08-20

and this:
2. DEWALT DWPVTDRV 4-Piece IMpact Ready Magnetic Nut Driver Set
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001KAQ634/?tag=atomicindus08-20

and this:
3. DEWALT DWPVTDRV3 3-Piece Impact Ready Pivoting Nutsetters, 1/4-Inch, 3/8-Inch, 7/16-Inch
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0038T4ZMY/?tag=atomicindus08-20

Or, if it doesn't HAVE to saw Dewalt on it, get him a nice SureFire flashlight. If he doesn't already own one you'll make him a convert for sure. And if he does already have one, you'll still make him smile because there's no such thing as too many good lights:

Do any of those seem like they'd work?
