Looking good, nice progress. The size is deceiving. The way it sits in the slope make it look smaller than it really is, I like it!!

Looks great - that is a stout foundation!

You are not kidding most everyone involved with it including the building inspector thought it was over the top. Over engineered. 7k in rebar. I guess the engineer didn't want to take any chances Or liability with the high back wall built into banking and the 12' ceiling height. So I was told. No chance of water pressure moving that back and side walls half way down 12" thick and two mats of rebar.

I will be digging a trench in the next couple days for utilities. I have a couple 2" pvc conduits stubbed and coming up inside. Can I put water and cable tv in the same sleeve?

That will be a door. Six or seven steps and a 4 foot landing. I didn't want to eat up space in garage, so that is how I will access upper floor.

Will you be able to recover your investment in Solar?

I will recover mine within two years, after which I will be saving, but not getting free electricity, on my electric costs.

That is why I keep a relationship with my accountant, he sees things from an educated perspective.

That's the question. Is it worth the investment? Probably not for me I will most likely be in this house another 15 years tops So that comes into the equation also.
