What to pay for Quincy 350 Air Compressor Pump

Hey,

I have an opportunity to get a Quincy 350 Air Compressor that I would like to rebuild (I would get some help from a pro). Guys says it is operation and turns freely but he has not run it in a number of years. Just wondering what the value would be and if there were any issues with this model.

Here it is...model# is 350-15 826829-L

Since it's been sitting out in the rain for who knows how long, I wouldn't pay much over scrap price for it. At ~500lbs. that would be about $80ish. Maybe double scrap price if I really wanted it.

You'll probably spend about $1,000 on rebuilding the pump, especially if it needs to be sleeved and you don't have the machines to do it yourself. Figure another $750 to $1,000 for a receiver and a motor and you're up to 2k plus the purchase price of the pump.

A new 7.5 HP QT series is selling at the local farm store for $2,500.

I'd say $50. I wouldn't pay scrap price for it because you would have to move it to scrap it, it's only worth the scrap price at the yard ( unless that's where it is An after-market rebuild kit for that pump will be $200-250 and will not include all the parts you may need + any machine work needed. Great pumps but a running example could be found for $500-600

I bought one like that a couple years ago for $75. It was in great shape except I had to work on the unloader valves which were sticking open.

I later found out that the spec on these is 90 PSI max. That means it would never fill and air tank run 90 PSI tools unless at 100% duty cycle.

You must be thinking of a model 240 or a 270 which are single-stage pumps. They're rated for 100PSI continuous.

A model 350 is a two-stage pump and is rated for 200PSI continuous and up to 350PSI intermittently. The telltale that it is a two-stage unit is the intercooler piping behind the flywheel.

I had my 350 identified the other day. 19 1/2 inch fly wheel and 4 inter cooler tubes. The 340 only has 2 and the 370 has a 23 inch fly wheel
