what to use to fix parging on block

Hi all,

So I have some exposed block that was parged and had some settling. Alas, some cracks, pieces came off. What is the best product to use to fix it? I plan on primer and a coat of dark brown paint (whatever color the wife picks) when done.

Take a look at surface bonding cement. Regardless of what you use, any water that gets behind it and freezes will cause the same failures again more than likely.

That is why I want to fix it and get a solid primer and paint on it.
Any product in a tube or tub - or am I looking at getting a 50lb bag of cement : https://www.homedepot.com/p/Quikrete-Quikwall-50-lb-White-Surface-Bonding-Cement-123050/100318462 and mixing up for such a little area?

Take a look at some of Mike Haduck masonry Youtube videos. One of the things he emphasizes is the type of repair is typical in a geographical area. He is based in NE PA.

He has multiple videos on this kind of repair.

That stuff works pretty good.
