Sawzall. 9 inch grinder would be very cumbersome to work with in this application. Are you using a cut off wheel in your grinder? Mine is a 4 1/2 inch, if yours is only a 4 this could be a problem. Get a heavy duty 4 1/4 inch electric angle grinder with a cut off wheel and it will zip right through it. I persononally would prefer the sawzall though.

Call the local fire department and tell them that you have a car that they can practice using their "Jaws of Life" on.....

I'm not kidding....you would be surprised at the 'oppertunities' that they will jump at in the name of training.....or, if there is nothing going on, they will come out and do it for you anyway....

A few years ago I need to get a Cherokee with a blow engine out of the street and into my garage (back of the house). Called the Sheriff's department....told him my problem and they sent out the area car with it's nice big push bar to help me push it in....

Second choice would the the Sawsall with a long blade.

If you are planing on reattaching the roof I would use the Sawzall and long blade. If you don't care about the roof or the edge of the material when done call the fire dept.

I do lots of this kinda stuff and I'd opt for a JIGSAW here. You'll get much better control than with a sawzall - but you may still use that (with it's longer blade) to get through some parts like posts, etc. The JIGSAW is fast, clean, straight. Unless it's SCRAP, don't use a torch!
Of course if it is scrap, maybe the jaws-of-life would be fun to have on site - they crush everything.
