I have a tool identified as a Blue Point AT22. To me it looks like a rebranded Lisle or similar vintage US specialiaty manufacturer. I searched Ebay and on line and came up short.

The barrel ends are different sizes. I first thought it was for brake shoe washers but there is no taper in the barrel shape or the serrations you normally see.

Any idea what this is?

That compresses the retainers on park brake cables, for removal, where they go through the backing plate.

Thanks for the quick reply. I was sorting through some oddlot tools and wondered if this was worth keeping.

You only need this if you are reusing the the brake cable. They do work good. I have one but don't remember if it's SO or another brand.

I had a coworker who had just the one end of the tool stuck in a wood handle. He said it was discontinued, I use to borrow his all the time. Then I spotted one on the snap-on truck one day and bought it right then.

this is the cheap looking **** snap-on now sells for $11
