O.K. guy's I have no idea what this is.
The brand name is Dunlap and it's about 12" long and is made out of cast iron so it's pretty heavy for it's size.
Let the guessing begin.

Yep, It's a stone dresser. Just held lightly to the face of a bench grinder wheel and it will clean it and square it. Oh yeah, wear eye protection.

That's actually a nicer old dresser. Not like teh crappy flimsy ones that they peddle nowadays. Good luck finding replacement wheels....

I got a cheap plastic framed one with a Craftsman bench grinder. Tried it once, it flew apart, wheels went everywhere. Swept it up and tossed it. I've also seen the carbide scribe point type for sale, but never tried one.

A RED grinding stone dresser. Re-adjust your tool rest out, hook the little dog ears on tool rest and apply an even pressure moving back and forth truing up the stone wheel ..OH yeah hold on to that thing firmly with two hands ...H

( wasn't there different colors for different grades of stone wheel??? Like red and blue???)

I don't know, but the dresser I have is black. It also needs new wheels. They are quite a bit larger in diameter, and have points on them when they are new.

I actually found a NOS dresser at my local hardware. The packaging was OLD and it came complete with an extra set of wheels. Even better, it was clearanced out.
