A friend of mine dropped by today to give me this tool he had found. The tag says "Model A Wrench" so he brought it to me knowing I have a Model A.

This tool is not part of the Original Model A Tool Kit and there are no markings on it. Does anyone have any idea what this tool is and what it was used for?

Farm equipment often had wrenches like this supplied with it. Every plow, disc, rake, manure spreader, etc. had a tool or set of tools for repair and adjusting. The sockets appear to be for square nuts, and the open ends do, too.

I agree that it is not a Ford tool, factory or aftermarket.

Made it's for a John Deere Model A two cylinder tractor?

I sure hope that you didn't have to pay the price on the tag!

Can we get some photos of the Model A Ford? After I worked on a 1931 Model A, I have forever had fondness for them.

Henry Ford's company was so strong, he halted production for months before releasing the Model A to the public! NOBODY could do that these days.

FYI - That is not a John Deere wrench; but is indeed most likely for a piece of farm equipment. I have some similar wrenches that were for threshing machines. This wrench could have been made for a threshing machine but also could be for a plow or cultivator or some other type of implement.
