What tool should i get?

Hello everyone, I'm new here on the forum and I need some help choosing some tools. I currently have a DeWalt dcf894 which I really love, and I wanted to get some more tools from DeWalt such as a drill. I also looked in to a impact driver but I'm not sure if I need it or not, since I already got a impact wrench. I am aware that the two tools have a very different amount of power, but would I be fine with just a impact wrench? I mostly work on cars, motorcycles and so on, but I also do some woodworking here are there, however that's more rare. Thanks for your advice in advance!

I'd also get a regular DeWalt 20V drill and a 1/4 impact driver if you're doing woodworking occasionally. With some cool new tools, you might find you do more woodworking. You can get a kit with both for like $140 or so and it will come with batteries and another charger. That's for brushless. Or maybe like $100 for non-brushless and reconditioned like from CPO.

It will give you some more batteries you can use with your impact. Before I bought an impact wrench, I'd use my Makita 1/4 impact driver to zoom off lugs. I break them with a 25 inch breaker bar and zoom off with the impact driver.

When you own additional tools, it opens up possibilities. Having 2 drills lets you keep a drill bit in one and a driver bit in the other for faster fastening if you need to pre-drill.

I like to stick with one brand so that I have more batteries and chargers available. Though it is possible to build/buy adapters if your brand doesn’t offer a particular tool. And if you haven’t used an impact driver, you will love having one. I use mine more than the drill.

oh, and it can often be more cost effective to buy a kit vs a bare tool.

i never thought i'd use an impact driver, id always used a drill to run screws in,

then i got one, and it's probably most used cordless tool around the house.

I have every tool a man could need. The ones I use most are a pocket knife and an impact driver. Seems like it's in my hand all day when I'm in the garage. Half the time with a 3/8 drive adapter.

My 1/4 hex impact driver is my most used tool for automotive and household chores.
Used it a lot this weekend to put up HardieBacker tile board in a bathroom.

1/4in drivers are great. Put a 1/4in or 3/8s adapter on it for smaller stuff. Great for projects around the house. A drill and impact driver are sold in sets because now days there what everyone uses

Welcome! be careful what you ask for here, I haven't heard too many guys Not recommend getting more. Really comes down to what you need & what will make your life easier, I try to keep a list you never know when a good deal will pop up. Look for a combo deal with an impact driver, drill, batteries & charger, sometimes you can get a free tool or battery, good luck.

B4 you get to far into Dewalt stop and buy Milwaukee they are the best and have a huge m18 fule lineup and I think 5 year warrantee

Keeping a common battery platform makes a lot of sense, because of constant improvement and competition between tool manufactures all of the major brands seem to be competitive.
