What tool to remove nailing fin?

I'm installing a number of windows in my remodel, and they are aluminum clad windows.

In some instances I need to remove the nailing fin/flange all the way around. In other instances I need to pull the nailing fin off one or multiple sides. Sometimes I need the result to be nearly flush with the edge of the window, and other times it's okay if it sticks up a bit.

From what I can tell, it's 14ga aluminum, and in some instances (top edge) it is doubled up (about 0.125 thick, combined).

Any recommendations for tools (outside of a grinder) that would make selective removal easy, and also be able to get near flush? I was originally thinking a nibbler might work, but it looks like it might not get close enough.

Thanks!

I've used a grinder with a thin cut-off wheel. Score it both sides and a few bends back and forth. It will break off. ( protective eyewear )

Thanks for the input. I was trying to avoid a grinder, sheerly due to the mess, since I have about 15 windows, and likely won't be doing them at the same time. Good idea on the score and snap.
