What Tool To Turn This?

What tool do I need to buy to turn this? It is a valve stem that is retracted into a cavity so I would need a nut driver type of tool. The shape is a round stem with two flat sides.

I think you would unscrew the hex and then take off that round/flat pc

A double d receiver. But what's the diameter of the stem? Any commercial plumbing supply can provide that but get the manufacturer name off the valve. Also some might call that stem as having two flats too.

A deep socket with a notch ground on either side is quick and dirty..

That would take a double D socket.

Are you just looking for a handle for the valve or are you trying to take it apart? Also is this one time, once in a while or something that will regularly need to be done?
