Gave this to my nephew. Knocked a few dings out of it, cleaned up the drawers, gave the outside a good buffing. He was excited to put his tools in it. Which are currently all just actually toy tools. But he was still excited.

Nice. I've had my HF impact sockets for 5 years, medium use as a home owner and shade tree mechanic, they have been worth twice what I paid. Got the 1/2 " TORQUE wrench a month ago, it showed me just how much I used to (unevenly) over-tighten my lugs which is hard on the rotors. Enjoy!

I was a very good boy, last year...:rocker:

So my wife bought me a Milwaukee Fuel Hammer Drill/Impact Driver with the Big Batteries, and a spare!!!:D

And the complete sets (1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" drive) of Tekton's Lo-Profile Polished Ratchets and Roto-Head Ratchets to go with them...(All made in Taiwan, by the way...and bought on Tekton's "$ 15.00 off $ 50.00 sale" at Amazon - sale is on through 31 Dec 2015...The six ratchets were about $ 80.00 total...):bounce:

Topped off with a 22 pound Turkey!!!

T'was a very good day!!!

Being a good boy, pays dividends...Who Knew???:wtf:

Currently overhauling my tool collection. i received some 1/2 impact sockets, a set of composite ratchets and a set of SAE polished combination wrenches to match the metric ones I already have from HF. Also, a Craftsman screwdriver set (acetate handle, USA) and some Channellock pliers. The TEKTON 1/4 and 3/8 socket sets should be here next week. It will be nice having full matching sets of sockets again. I was tired of searching through incomplete sets, and never finding what I needed, ie. 8 or 10 mm socket... good luck... but here's 7 9mm ones.

No tools for me, but the wife did get a Milwaukee M12 circular saw :D

And it was perfect timing. Found the deal on eBay, ordered it on the 23rd and it arrived on the 24th. I had no intentions of it being a "gag" gift for her, but when she asked what UPS just delivered, it had to be for her! I had spent the past two days making DIY wood projects as gifts from ideas that she dreamed up but didn't have time to do. Damned Pintress and old pallet wood ideas......

My mom has a pretty good eye for picking up interesting antique tools for me. Here's what I got this year: Miller's Falls wood handled screwdriver, Plvmb wood handled 14" flathead screwdriver, Stanley flathead screw driver marked Bell System, Truth Mankato Minn 1/2 drive ratchet, some reamer or deburring bits for a brace, a Starrett and a Sears 6" machinist scales, nos Simonds 1-3/4" hole saw in original box, K-D brake drum wear tool, and some threaded fastener slide cards. Not too shabby.

I don't have any pictures yet, but my family was too good to me this year.

Brother got me an M12 Fuel impact driver kit and a set of Japanese chisels (http://www.japanwoodworker.com/Prod...um-High-Speed-Steel-****-Chisels-4-piece.aspx)

Mom got me a set of carpenter's chisels (http://www.leevalley.com/US/Wood/page.aspx?p=66067&cat=1,41504) and a couple of boatbuilding books.

Someone also bought me a Craftsman Mach ratchet and socket set. Apparently my father had made some lists of gifts for our family and he was thinking this would be my gift this. He passed away on 12/1 and my mom found his lists sometime after. She decided to get some of the things on his list to honor him. He loved Christmas more than most people.

Wife surprised me with a DeWalt DW717 ( now I looking at the DW7187 Laser System,or the DWS7085 LED light.....any suggestions?)

My son got me this really cool retro Ford cooler!

My daughter and her husband gave me cash to purchase a brad/finish nail gun ( in her words in the card "We were going to get you a brad nail gun for Christmas, but had way to many questions as to which one" )

I am a happy ,blessed man !!!

I didn't receive, but as Santa's helper I gave to my son.

I had just got home from an 8 day hospital stay before Thanksgiving after my third battle with a nasty Pseudomonas infection (now I have done another 6 day stay, round #4). I had recently bought a low mileage 2009 Ford Focus beater with multiple dents, scrapes and dings. While I was in the hospital my son fixed all the damage and repainted the car. It looks like new now.

Santa brought him a FLEX XC3401 VRG Orbital Polisher with an array of buffing pads.

I got a new Leatherman Surge in black oxide as an upgrade to my wave that I carry everyday of my life since I got it last year. Broke a handle in the wave and didn't wanna send it in for warranty cause I still used it everyday

Got the new Milwaukee Black 3-in-1 Ripstop Nylon Jacket with Heated Hoodie.. So far I'm really impressed with the quality - I have the heated jackets from the last 2 years as well..

Got a metric set of Sunex swivel sockets - to make doing brakes and whatnot on my cars just a little easier with the impact.

Lisle dual piston caliper tool..

I think I've officially run out of stuff to get... I have too much as it is.

I run a dws780 with the light and you can pry it from my cold dead hands. I would say the Light feature is one of the best systems avail. It allows you visually make the Fine adjustments. Knowing exactly where the blade is going to land each time.

Happy cutting and congrats :willy_nil

I got this for Christmas. The Master Technician ESD Precision Set from Wiha (#75965). Comes in a nice metal latching case. The small ratchet is 72-tooth and opens easily. I will have a full review on these coming up.

As someone who does a lot of Electronics stuff, this is an awesome kit.

Got that same kit. Awesome for small stuff like taking apart hard drives for destruction!

I have most of the gimmicky tools you mentioned in one drawer also. Funny thing is sometimes they actually have gotten me out of a jam not allways but occasionally enough to keep them.

The rotozip is actually pretty useful.. It's like a much stronger dremel.. Have used it a bunch with cutting discs in the past.

I have two words for you - "Amazon Wishlist". You can download an app that will let you add anything from anywhere to your list, so people can just go on Amazon, search your name, and all the stuff you picked out as something you want or need is displayed.. All they have to do is click the picture, and it brings them to where they need to go. It's a sure fire way for people to not blindly spend money, and you get what you really wanted.. Even after they purchase it, the items are not removed from the list when YOU sign on, but they get removed for anyone else that's looking - so people don't buy the same things.. (Only for a few months I believe)

My whole family uses the Amazon wishlist. Makes shopping so much easier but you can still get something on you own as well.

Thank you! However most of these were acquired long before Amazon! Or from people who have no clue what Amazon is!!
