New to snap-pn, and I purchased a KR660b today.

Does anyone know of the matching top boxes that were offered or will fit and look "period correct"?

There was one offers for sale last ween on Craig's list Long Island that had it paired with KR650. Only 36" but the trim lines up with the wide drawers.

I see that some people have posted here that they have KR550b on top which is also 36".

I found a KR550B at auction, which is why I ask.

Also we're there any full width top
Boxes at the time, in the same way that the KR1000/KR1200 stack?

Which one works best, and any help on the options for a full-width top box would be appreciated.

I'm sorry I can't come up with the model number, but there is a matching top chest. I think it is 9 drawers with a bottom full width drawer. The top box is fairly common. Maybe Spidergearman wil chime in, he has the combo.

I accidentally hit "reply" instead of "save" when i edited the post above for links and pictures.

In any case, help would be appreciated for the proper dimensions, whether the KR650B is a typo in the listing above, and whether there is a full width model.

The local ebay listing above is the most favorable for location, price and the condition matches the bottom I just brought home today, which will be undergoing a restoration anyway, so it would a nice project to do them both at once.

The other thought is go with the 36" box (the KR660b is a 50"er) and add a side box of drawers that match the narrow drawers on the left. I think the symmetry and the bright trim would look great.

So, I guess I'm asking for a model # for a side box set of 8 drawers, if there was one.

Thanks, all

Also the KR670, here is my set. It`s a KR660B bottom with a KR670 top, might be for sale.

Definitely let me know if you split up the set, or even what you'd like for the pair.

I like the shallower setup for where these are located at my garage at home.

I might powdercoat one and make it the new microwave stand in the kitchen: I need more space there, too. Wife will LOVE that.
:shocking:

kr 550 & 650 should be the same size,
the 550 will have friction slides, the 650 came along in '86 or so, with BB slides on the fulll width drawers.

i had the matching side box on my kr555, and i really wanted an upper side box to match, but i dont think SO ever made one. :(

and a pair of pics from the prior owner.

The top of the box was brought to a body shop by the original owner (I'm the third) for the custom painted checkered flag.

Too bad it's hard to see when perched up top, even when it's closed.
