What type of A/C

I have a new 40' x 60' with 12' high walls with a 2:12 pitch metal building. This building is a shop that I will be working and hanging out in. It has 4 inch rolled insulation on the walls and ceiling. There are three roll up doors that are R-19 rated and two insulated walk out doors. This building is in south Mississippi with temperature and humidity are in the 90s. There are only a few days that are below freezing.

I think I would like an outside unit with a duct that runs down the center of the roof line with drop down vents. However, I need suggestions on what type of A/C and how many tons or anything else that I may need to know? Any help would be appreciated.

Actually from what you have I would think that you need to put more at least in the ceiling. 4" isn't very much. I think that the unit you describe would be a decent idea though.

That is how I did my ducts, down the middle. I tucked them at the top I have a bridge crane that I built that runs under them. I have 16' walls the cold air falls I am not try to cool the upper part of the shop. I have a 4 ton unit that I did not pay much for. It is 3 phase. I do live in Louisiana so we to have the hot wet air. my two big problems are the gap at the top of my roll ups and my 16' wide dark green door that gets a lot of the west sun. I can fix both of the problems. The gaps will be easy. The door I will make a big curtan that will hang behind the door on the in side. It will roll up with the door. That will give me a air space for the heat. I have seen one like the at Home Dept on a big door in the store. Those things are on the list and have been for 5 years. So it is not that big of deal.
For heat I have it 3 ways all need the 3 ceiling fans on reverse. For quick heat I mean quick I cut on my electric strip heat. I have 2 sets on in the air handler (3phase) the 2nd in the duct right as it comes out of the handler. If you look close in the pic you can see the box on the botton of the duct as it comes out. The coils are in the air flow the box has the contrals. The 3 way is my old Buck stove in legs it Burns wood.
