I work for a dealership and we just finished the new shop. During the construction period I thought they were going to epoxy the floor because they had a flooring company come in and diamond grind the entire floor, took them 3 or 4 days to grind the floor. After they ground the floor it was left bare until the construction was finished and then they came back today and swept the floor and then went over it with what seemed like a buffer or polisher and then sprayed something on the floor out of a chemical sprayer and after an hour or so they said we could use it. The strange thing is there are still tire tracks all over the floor from construction equipment and we also put a couple drops of oil on the concrete and it soaks right in....
First of all what type of sealer or coating is this and second why on earth would you spend all of that money grinding the floor and then leave it like this? It looks like **** and it isnt functional. The first oil spill or coolant spill is just going to make the floor look like ****... it definitely will not clean up easily.
