Hi all,
At the risk of asking a really dumb question, I'm not knowledgeable with gas fittings and I need to connect my welder to the gas bottle. The pics show a female fitting on the regulator....AND a female fitting on the gas bottle. Do I just use a regular brass ****** to make these two sync...or..??
Thanks for any help.

You need to change the stem(adapter) on the regulator, the seal is internal.
You gas/welding supply will have the correct one.

And I should add........are you sure you have the correct regulator I don't recall seeing a Argon bottle with external threads.

You mention hooking up gas for your welder, I’m worried that is the wrong regulator for your application. I’m thinking this because it has 650L and oxygen regulator printed on it.

Does it have a tank pressure and a CFM gauge or a tank pressure and line pressure gauge?

For MIG and TIG you want a regulator with a flowmeter (CFM gauge). If it has one, then your welding supply should be able to set you up with the correct input fitting to go to the inert gas bottle.

Edit: you can use an oxygen regulator on inert gases, but you’ll likely use more Argon than with a regulator with flowmeter.

Boys....your spot on. I have just realised this regulator is for an oxy-actylene torch....NOT a mig welder!!!! Thanks to both of you....you saved me from myself!!:withstupi
