Sorry guys, whatever you or I have may be nice, but bullfrog wins.

So far, I agree.....but I'm sure someone will post a pic of an almost naked girl and....well....you know how guys are....

Anyway...this is the view from the second story window of my garage....the mountains north of Los Angeles....it's usually clearer than this...

Overhead door closed? Nothing (no windows).

Overhead door up? The neighbors.

The door stays down most of the time! I'm envious of the awesome views some of you have....

Corn fields in almost every direction.

Pics of the yard are on my website.

Yesterday, there was a herd of deer across the street in the barren field.

This morning, two geese in the pond, this afternoon, a Heron in the pond eating my goldfish-LOL.

The Border Collie drives the birds nuts, trying to herd them, the Lab wants them to lay down so he can bring them to me.

A view toward the shop looking East.

If my garage doors are open in the summer and I'm paying attention, I've seen a dozen or so deer right out in front of my garage. And every now and then I catch them in action. Not great pictures but I had to take the shots or miss it.

And since I live off the end of the runway of a small airport, I hear sounds that tell me something special is coming.

Man, you guys kill me! What fabulous views!

Living off a runway? Awesome. And just when in God's green earth do you get a B17 fly-by, 66 years later?!!!! Flippin' amazing!!!

I wanted privacy when I bought my little 2.2 acres. I thought I had it made. Still close to the city we work in, close enough to the kids' schools to drive them without going crazy, much cheaper property taxes......until the neighbor built her house about 50 ft from ours!! I've had to plant a bunch of spruce trees to try and block her out.

Open garage doors usually just let in mosquitoes in the summer and snow in the winter, so they stay shut most of the time. One door shows a nice tree line on the other side of our property which is great. Another door shows another neighbors house about 400 ft away so not so bad. I still want to block that out though. Bullfrog123 wins though. I always wanted to have no visible neighbors and be able to shoot off my back porch. Oh well, maybe I'll win the lotto.......:)

Keep the pics coming guys. Awesome!

We custom built the house to have as many views to the back as possible and that was before we built the pond and of coarse could not build the pool before the house. We put allot of our own blood sweet and tears in it. The house is hers, the garage (1300 sq ft) is mine.

Drew,

You live off the end of Tullahoma?

You guys have wonderful views, mine is my neighbors garage!

I live off the end of runway 32 at what was the old Sewart AFB in Smyrna TN.

The B17 was here for display and people could get a 30 minute flight for a nominal fee. I'm sure it would have been fun to climb around inside of that thing as it flew around the area. There was a guy from Nashville that would bring his P51 Mustang out to play in my area several times a month. Haven't seen it in a long time though. Always have C130's and military helicopters around. For a lot of people the planes would be a nuisance, but I was in Army aviation during my tour of duty at Ft. Rucker and I kinda enjoy seeing them. I do get tired of the Lears hot dogging the area though.

We also have an airshow from time to time and seeing the static planes arrive is a lot of fun. Most people never see them fly since they're only on display at the show. And watching the Blue Angels or the Thunderbirds practice is really close up and personal.

Holy **** those are nice. I was going to post pics of my postage stamp but now I'm too embarrased. I'm definitely the mutt at the dog show.

I know what you mean. We live about 2-5 miles off of a small private airport (Briscoe Field, in Lawrencceville). Just close enough and just enough traffic that the odd plane is fun to look at, not a hassle.

I think we had that same B-17 here for the pay to ride deal, it was fun to watch it go over, but I didn't get any pics. The other cool one we had was an old Ford Tri-Motor that was doing pay-rides too. Man that thing was fun to watch!

LOL-where we live, if a car drives down the road, we get up to look to see who it is.

The county tore the road up intending to resurface but ran out of money, now the road is at best, wash-board, it's no longer the local bypass. Yesterday evening, one of my clients said he liked as it made him feel like he was really driving his Land Rover.

In spite of being in an agricultural area, if I have too many client cars visible from the road, the neighbors whine to the county and I have to promise not to do it again. Curiously, were I working on tractors, there'd be nothing they could say about it as it would be ag-related. My wife says if she isn't complaining, they shouldn'tbe-she keeps me on a short leash but she's worth it.

Wow. My neighbor looks a lot like Sandra Bullock, and she isn't shy when working in her yard in the summer, from which I have a nice view from my shop. But Drew, that pic of the 17 flying over just might give me a bigger woodie than my neighbor. I think I need help.

My Brother in law caught a ride on a B24 that was here 7 or 8 years ago. For a few hundred bucks he got to fly from Ogden Utah to Reno Nevada at the last minute. Had the time of his life. From Reno, the 24 flew back to Texas (it's home base Confederate Air Force) and they couldn't gear the landing gear to drop. Ended up foaming the runway and doing a belly landing. He was pretty glad it waited one last flight to do that.

The metal building is most of my garage (there is also a small two car detached garage).

The second picture shows deer that would be about 25 feet from the concrete on the right.
