What was this gauge was used for

Hello all. Could anyone tell me what this gauge was used for? The front of the gauge says Vapospray with the writing Pressure Degreaser. Thanks in advance.

I take them at their word. It is to set the pressure on a Vapospray pressure degreaser at 100psi. I would guess that the unit used an external air compressor

The hose setup looks like its from a cheap compression tester.

Sure looks like an ordinary engine compression tester to me. That style of tip, with the conical shaped rubber, was very popular some years ago. They work well. I have an old one too. Nowadays they make threaded hoses to go it the spark plug hole. But the old old rubber tip worked just fine.

I forgot to mention that the rubber end has a valve in it just like a tire.

Someone took a gauge off a Vapospray degreaser, and adapted it for use as a compression tester.
