What welder to buy?

Hey guys, this is another thread about suggesting welders. I will mainly use it about the house for this such as making fences or building some other stuff.

It will also be used in auto repair. Would like something that does 110 and 220.
There may be a sale on ZORO on BF or Cyber Monday.

So which welder should I get from ZORO? Budget is around 1200-1300 for a welder.

Miller 211 is pretty hard to beat as a MIG welder in that price range. You can also set it up with a spool gun to weld aluminum if you want to go that route.

If you're stuck on a 110/220 unit and that budget, I'd get the 211 MVP.

If they go 40%, you could pick up the 252 for less than $1600. It's a LOT of capability. I got mine from Zoro on the 40% (IIRC) and I love it.

The IronMan 230 would also be an option at $1100 with 40% off. You can add the aluminum spool gun later which is nice.

Right now I want to learn on one. I think the 252 might a bit much for me right now. I can always upgrade if that time comes.

Yeah, it's a lot of capability.

The 211 should serve you well then.

Z- I read thru most of the welder threads and 211 came up a lot. Just wanted some input about it.
