What wire for welder and medium air compressor?

I need to wire an outlet for a Lincoln AC/DC 225 Tombstone welder and a 3 hp 220AC compressor. My outlets will be no more than 25 ft. from the main breaker box for the house. What supplies will I need for the job? Specifically, do I need 8/3 or 10/3 wire?

Thanks in advance for the help!

I'd most likely run 10-2 to your compressor and 8-2 to your welder receptacle.
That usually covers just about anything you can throw at it.

Thanks for the help so far!

Both machines are used. According to Lincoln, the input on the welder is 60 amps. I cannot find any info on the compressor though. I am guessing around 30 amps.

Should I run the wires through conduit?

I've had a Lincoln Tombstone 225 for many years and I have used it on both 30 amp and 50 amp circuits with the appropriate sized wire. I never had any problems although I rarely use it at anything higher than than the 140 amp setting on the welder. YMMV.
