Carhartt b01 bibs or the equivalent pants. I have some backup Dickies as well. I had some firehose pants from Duluth and didn't care for them so I passed em off to a friend

Something thin and loose.. some carhartt styles (they make more than one type of pants people), old navy.. nothing heavy or constricting

BIGGEST issue with jeans (besides these kids and their skinny jeans) - is you have to read WHERE they sit in relation to your waist. On the waist, above the waist (the most uncomfortable ungodly pants on earth), or below the waist..

Everything i get sits below the waist. Relaxed fit. (I miss my baggy jeans. ****** millennials)

Picked up a set of the Firehose pants from Duluth yesterday due to this thread... I'm impressed. They have a 25% off sale right now.

Bought some Prison Blues due to your input. Dang these puppies are heavy. Seem well mad, will test drive this weekend.

Made a slight mistake and got suspender buttons, which I doubt I will use.

Edit: run a bit big in the legs, and the phone pocket on the leg is deep, leaves the phone down by my knee.

But seem well made, time will tell.

Got these in rigid as well. If you need them to shrink them at all wash and dry on hot.

There's a plumber on this site I'm on and he wears a pair of sliced down the sides Lee pipes or Jyncos over his good pants. Quite interesting to see

I rock the Vertx Phantom LT's as my everyday go-to retired pants. I buy 'em on sale from Gall's for about the same price as I paid for my last pair of Levi's 517s. They are made of the nice ripstop material I like and they look corporate casual dressy, rather than tactical. They've got the ballroom gusset and articulated knees so they're comfortable and easy to move in. They're much cooler than jeans in the summer and evaporate the moisture much faster (65/35 I think). The cargo pockets don't blouse out unless you've put an M16 mag in there. Nice inner pocket just for your cellphone. Little off hand right side pocket for your clip knife. Double middle belt loops in the back. I've bought 'em in most of the colors they offer. FWIW the "khaki" color is very light, I prefer the "desert tan" myself. I had the "smoke grey" and it seemed to fade more than the other colors. I guess if you're into urban camo, you would blend in with concrete quite well in that color. If you grab 'em right out of the dryer and roll them up from the cuff, they look fairly strack without ironing.

The only downside is that they aren't really made of a heavy duty material like duck or heavy denim or hickory stripe. When I tow my RV, I'm down on my knees checking tire pressures or setting cribbing for the landing legs so I recently bought a pair of double knee relaxed fit Dickies work pants for about $25. I haven't really put them to the test yet but they look promising for my application. Quality looks good so far but time will tell.

Duluth regular fire hose cargo I feel fit a bit better that the standard jean type fire hose pants. They are stiff at first and a bit price. I also really like the dickies flex but the pockets bug me a bit but for 1/2 the price of the fire hose I will deal. I have not tried the lighter weight fire hose yet but i think they would be very similar to the dickies flex. Duluth alsa has a made in USA line last i knew. I also wear the levi signature jeans because work gives us a uniform allowance through cintas and they carrie those and a carheart jean that i think have the worst fit i have ever tried. I also go cheap and get goodwill jeans for $5 each

Work supplies us Carhartt carpenter jeans. I like them pretty well and I’m grateful I don’t have to wear out my own britches. When I buy my own I get Carhartt double front logger jeans or Carhartt B01 double front duck pants.

When I used to work maintenance I wore the Walmart Faded Glory jeans. They’re now the George brand and for $10.44 each I’d buy 5 pair. Laundry once a week with Tide and you’re all in for $52.25. They’ll last at least a year and I’ve had some last much longer. Work was never a fashion show for me. Clean, neat and well kept were all that mattered.

If you ever want to prove the value of Tide, wash your work clothes in something else for a month and you’ll notice the difference pretty quickly.

Edit: I budgeted $100 a year for work clothes, and $100 for shoes. I never actually spent that much.

I use the Walmart George pants, and either dickies (spring / fall) or Carhartt (winter) coveralls. Pants get worn out quick, cheap ones last just as long as Wrangler, Lee, or Carhartt jeans for me. But I can buy cheap Georges for 1/3 the cost of a name brand. Leaves more money for tools!

Truewerk, once you try them you wont want anything else. I go for the T2 because if it is too hot I put on their shorts and like the slight insulation.

Do not use for welding, grinding they do burn easily. But for construction and automotive I love them.

Dickies carpenter jeans, Wrangler Jeans, Levis jeans (as I have lost weight and the size 40 are falling off so I might as well wear them out:lol_hitti

I like the Dickies and have worn several styles, some lighter ones in the summer but seems Walmart has changed styles they carry and can't always find what I want

Truewerk is the best I've ever tried. I live in Florida so T1s are my go-to.

Brump. How about some skinny but tough as nails workwear pants.

I don't wear workwear pant for work....but my workwear stuffs consisits of carhartt insun/non bibs, and primarily the Snickers lineup of work pants (has tool pouches esque pocket but the biggest draw for me is the built in kneepad holders. Just slim some pad on, none of the BS riding behind the knee ****)

For the dayjob, sometimes I'm crawling around the floor or walking through a rough enviroment...was on a rooftop, crawling around strut, hvac/electrical piping, up a unit , etc just to get access to where I needed to get to. I was wearing my RAW denim....might have scuff it up a big. Sig

I do want me heavy cordura skinny nutz-hugger jeans. What can I say :spit::spit:
I'm a fashionable man

I'm not required to wear "work" pants anymore, but back in the day I loved Wrangler Cargo Pants. Don't know if they make them as comfy anymore.
