Clean it up and start looking for a pair of the old Monroe parts-counter stools that had a giant shock for the base.

definitely going to clean and keep it-havent decided how to use it yet.thought the top would be a good light duty work surface-maybe a custom fit piece of plywood to protect it.i want to use it but not damage it-its too cool!

On a lazy suzan base it could be a decorative storage that rotates for access. Works for the bar also.

My first thought before I even scrolled down to the other posts was to make it a bar.

I would leave it dented- it has character

Next I would make a nice round top of maybe cherry wood

Not sure if shelves or a mini fridge would be better.

I can picture it near a corner as a place to stand around holding beverages admiring the current project in the garage.

Throw it out the window on the highway. Love throwing sh!t out the window on the highway. Take a buddy to drive, looks unwieldy to chunk out the window while also driving.

This is a joke, I have the utmost respect for fellow drivers. :)

The first thing I would do is NOT THROW IT AWAY.

The second thing I would do would be to stare at it for several hours over several beers then call my friends over to do the same thing. It would all make sense in the morning.:eek2:

Push out the dent, scrub it with Bon Ami or similar cleanser, wipe it down with some light oil or liquid wax to bring out a bit of shine, and enjoy it as a conversation piece in the house or garage. The thing has character and utility, and is rare.
