This has been offered to me for free. I can't think of what I would use it for. The steel is a heavy gauge, so it may be useful for some things. It doesn't spin, but I could fix that. Any ideas, or pass?

Make it spin with like a Lazy Susan and I think it would be very handy on the corner of a workbench. And you can't beat free!

Free is not always a good price. If it's junk now it probably will be your junk in the future. Let others have it and save the headache.

DNGR: do you have those little containers with brads, tacks and other small items that don't do well in a drawer? they would fit perfectly on those shelves and it wouldn't take up much room on your bench? of course you have to like the yellow and have the anchor mean something to you so your call.

Not worth the floor space for a shop IMHO. Now in the house for your misc knickknack ****, maybe.

I would say it was used to display champagne.
You could use it in the house for wine bottle/glasses storage.

Thanks for the opinions, I'm gonna pass. Bottom line is I can't afford the floor space, and I don't have anything to really store on it.

Pass. If you have to strain your brain to try to force some sort of 'usefulness' out of something, it's probably NOT!

Now, in your family room----you could probably chop off the top piece and use it as a lamp stand and have a place to set your newspaper, remote, and drink too!

Dngr: i was thinking maybe a bench, but definitely not for even more valuable floor space. as some have said maybe inside the house only if your wife loves it.

Happy new year and hoping to see a few more shinier things in your posts this year.

I would pass. You could drill holes in each tier and make the thing spin and store your smaller size screwdrivers there for easy access ?

I'd pass on it. If you can't think of a good use for it, you probably don't need it.

If it's sturdy enough, and one had a collection of say vises, it might be cool to display them. Not that I know anybody like that, just sayin'............

Slider16-Here in Va we're getting a penny a pound-and according to the scrap folks its not likely to change anytime soon. But I do have a soft spot for something that weird/ugly/useless!

Looks like something that would get bundled into a lot I'm interested in at an auction bc the auctioneer couldnt sell it otherwise. In cases like these, if there is no available dumpster and you cannot burn it then I'd say shoot it.
