I was thinking about doing the water and air thing, I was hoping to get some ideas of how I could tastefully make the front of my garage more like and old service station from some of the more creative members here

Definitely clean and paint it, but then install a light on the inside. Let all your buddies know that when the light is on its beer time in the garage. A few of us at The Slab do something similar and it works well. The wife’s have no idea!

Pour a small concrete pad next to the road & mount it. Take videos of the idiots who pull up & try to get gas from it. Mail vids to AFV & win grand prize.

You could spice that up with piezoelectric device to throw a spark at the nozzle opening every time the nozzle lever was operated. It might get some good fireworks videos. :shocking: You might lose the pump tho... :(

Seriously, restore it and use it in the garage.

I dunno...diesel flavored beer doesn't sound very good to me. :)

Clean it out real well, gut the innards to hide a kegerator, run the dispensing lines through the original hose to protect flavor... A little ingenuity and you might even get the numbers rolling

Kegerator tap on the side, brass pole on the top, add some flashing lights, possibly add a slot machine mechanism for the face which will dispense fine cigars and invite over some buddy’s and a few ******. Should provide you and your buds hours of entertainment. Make sure you post pictures for us.

Thats what I would do if I had that pump!

Although I have allot of these old pumps restored I'm not a fan of that perticlur style of pump. I had one myself that I really didn't like so this is what I did with it and this is what you need to do. :)

Remove all the guts such as motor, plumbing and pump. Do a little fabrication work inside. Make a filler to get rid of that large opening on the top....... oh heck..... Do what what I did with mine and turn it into an entertainment unit. Have a look.. :bounce:

Here's a poor quality video of it.

a) Make a smoker out of it.
b) Combine DDawg's & Korn Julio's ideas - put it next to the street, but plumb it to a water hose. Video idiots thinging they are pumping "free" (i.e. someone else's) gas into their tanks!

Put it in your garage and make a TV cabinet out of it. If you decide to make a smoker out of it, be sure to put a NO SMOKING warning label on it.

Someone said it has no collectability but I think those are the pumps that were in use when I bought my first car. They we're made to go over $1/gallon so the seller set the price at half and the buyer had to pay double whatever the pump read. I bought and licensed my first car, filled it up with gas, forgetting that I had to pay double and realized I then had $12 to live on for two weeks. But I finally had a car and that's all that mattered!

My local hardware store in France sells red wine in bulk, dispenses out of a petrol pump style hose and nozzle, bring your own container.......

I've been looking for one of these. I want to gut it and put a hinge on the side and lock on the other. I can then keep my gas cans outside without some crackhead stealing them.
