Hey guys, first post. I having been lingering on this forum for awhile now, looking at classified threads etc. Figured I make an account. Just wanted to say what's up, as I'm a tool fanatic too.

But anyways, what would you guys pay for a brand new snap on ph3050b. I'm picking one up later on today and want to know what you guys think on price and the reliability of it. Because I was looking at Matco silver eagle set with chucks, but I'm not sure.

This is brand new btw.

Purchasing through your dealer or private party? If you're through a dealer, have him swing you a deal on a chuck set, promotional receiving dealers get five, 5pc kits as weekly promos often for $129.

Not my dealer. Private party from Craigslist. My dealer wouldn't give me a deal of $150 for it. I try to catch good deals on craigslist. This is one of them!

For a brand new one? On the snap on site, they're $399. I'm glad I'm getting it for $150. Especially after all the info I've gathered on it.

I'd probably try buy for $150 or less, but might pay up to 180. Maybe up to $200 for a really nice one with case and several good bits.

20,000 to 25,000 pennies depending on how bad I wanted or needed it and of course who was selling it. Tools off trucks should always be paid in pennies because those trucks have strong suspension to hold all that weight of the tools so it is good to displace the weight of the tools with pennies.

I just paid I think $140.00 for one that's almost new. I think it will easily bring $190.00 though in the condition it is.

Didn't get it. He ended up bailing out on me with no response at all. Guess he knew I was getting a major deal on it. This is what I got instead. Pretty happy with it. Love the way you can adjust power level.
