Isn't that the bottom of the 27"? That's what it cost new.

Belay that, it's 400 for the top and bottom, so maybe 250 new. But they run sales on it, I wouldn't pay 150 for it

I t depends on your needs. Do you have only smaller tool boxes? Or an old Cman box? Or are you trying to flip it?

New its roughly $150-$160. Add in the used factor, that drops it to an absolute top price in pristine condition to about $110 on CL. Flea market price is 100, and garage sale price is $75.

Personally I would not pay more than $100 And that if i really needed it and was convinced of its longevity by taking a good look at it.

*Just saw that it's dented...right where you will see it all the time. $75 would be my top price... if I REALLY needed it.

Me? I wouldn’t buy a damaged box for more than $70, maybe not even that. Too easy to buy a box in better condition for the type of money they’re asking. Pass

I don't think you can buy the bottom box separately, so while the top and bottom are usually $300, one must guess at the value for the bottom. But like already said, I wouldn't pay a penny more than $100, and would even have a hard time paying that.

would be pretty easy rebadge it to cover worst of dent .
realistic used price is 70 to 100bucks but would really want need it to go 100 .
the 27" boxes not HF best so not a great box to start with .
If you really need it take a look at it and make him an offer, 150bucks is ridiculous though .

I would not even bother talking to him if he's asking that much for it. It's pretty easy to find a deal on mid-grade boxes. I paid $200 for mine new with top and bottom. They couldn't find the keys.

Ditto unslow, there are much better deals to be found. I got my 40" craftsman industrial bottom for $250 on clearance. I would wait for something else.

go buy a new one on sale, and re-sell the top box. you'll be money ahead and no dent to worry about...

I bet that guy got a warranty replacement and kept the old one.

I'd pass....

If I actually needed it, I'd pay $50-$75, but it's really not worth much. It's a small, lower end box with a dent...

I'd 'low' ball him, when he declines your offer, point out new price to him. 1 time out of a 100 they'll actually come down in price. Most of the time they're insulted, but they deserve it. Worth the 2 txts/emails for the chance.

Bringing this thread back from the dead.
Currently there is another coupon in the current catalog for $300.00.
here is a Fellow on marketplace, wanting $300.00 for a used one, top and bottom.
Told him about the $300.00 coupon, and offered $200.00, but he never answered.:dunno:
